I need to drive/read some 20 to 30 I/O's that are about 20 m away from kanalog. My question is, in order to spare the cabling how long can the cable between Kflop and Konnect be?
Alternatively is it possible to install a remote I/O slave device, which could communicate with Kflop via modbus? Is there any software example?

Hi cnc_freak,
The ribbon cable between KFLOP and Kanalog should be several inches at most.
Kanalog has an RS232 port that can be used for Modbus. See the examples in:
C:\KMotion435b\C Programs\RS232\ModBus
