Kflop with commercial servo drives ie. Baldor

Post by gomond » Tue Apr 16, 2019 6:19 am

Hi I have a Kflop board and I was given some 400w baldor drives and motors for my router.
Is there a youtube video or some kind of howto for connecting up these type drives to the kflop?

Hi gonond,

What are the drive’s interface specifications? +/- 10V Analog?

Sorry I forgot to say that they are Baldor FlexDrive servo drives and motors.
They can be configured in step/direction and analog but I have never used servos before and don't know the best way to hook them up.
I saw the snap amp an thought that was for connecting to servos.

thanks

Hi gomond,

You should be able to use either method. I prefer using analog and closing the loop and tuning the servos with our KFLOP + Kanalog boards.

You might perform this test of your drives in analog mode.

Here are some links you might read to get an idea of whether you have the necessary skills.
