KStep J1 Motor Power

Post by xuphoenix » Wed Jul 10, 2024 4:12 am

If several 24V motors consume more than 10A in total, should I connect two GNDs and two VBBs to the power supply? If two VBBs are connected to a 24V power supply, will the voltage applied to the motors be 24V or 24*2=48V?

Power Supply current is not the same as motor currents. You might read this.

But yes it is best to wire the supply to both terminals to reduce the current through each terminal.

The supply switched to the motors will still be the supply voltage. 24V in your case.
