Axis modes - jog buttons

Hi, when my axis mode for the closed loop stepper motor and driver are set to "Input: No input, Output: step Dir" I am able to jog it using the KmotionCNC screen. But when I use "Input: encoder, output: CL step" which is the correct setting, the jog button for x axis doesn't move the stepper. Why is that?

Please provide more information. What hardware do you have? Check the KMotion Axis Screen to see if the axis is enabled before and after attempting to Jog. Any messages on the KMotion Console Screen? How are you attempting to Jog? Do you have an encoder connected to KFLOP?
