AMC drive use 2 DAC for output? DC motor

Post by turbothis » Fri Aug 20, 2021 10:28 pm

i am using these drives
http://servosystems.com/pdf/amc/30a20ac.pdf

simple 2 wire DC brushed servos

not sure if i need something like this with 2 DAC outputs?

ch1->OutputChan0=1; //positive pin on drive
ch1->OutputChan1=2; //negative pin on drive

or wire ch1->OutputChan0=1; to positive pin and negative pin to kanalog board ground?

Hi turbothis,

No, you only need one DAC since the Drive accepts +/- 10V. You might do this simple test and this with a DAC (step 2).

ok i got the Y axis moving safely!
thanks a ton once again for the support

trying to figure out the counts per inch
i think 2000 on the servo encoder
x4 for quadrature
2-1 reduction on the pulley
.200 screw

80,000?
i do this and with the test indicator moving .500" i am about .010" short :?

if i punch in 81250 i am about right on .500 move and reading

If the screw was 5mm pitch it should be 81280 counts/inch
