I am considering creating a 3 axis cnc machine that uses hybrid stepper motors and controllers. An example can be found on the omc-Stepperonline website in the closed loop stepper kit section.
Is it possible to control these with kflop and if so what is your recommended board set?

Re: Hybrid Stepper Motor
Hi Cole,
If the motor drives have Step/Direction inputs you could likely control them with our KFLOP Controller Step/Direction outputs. Depending on what other IO you have you might want some of our other options such as Konnect or Kanalog.

I have the kanalog on my mill; I wasn't aware it could control a drive of this type as it does not have an analog control input, only step+dir. I guess I better re-read the kanalog info.

More info here on using Step/Dir with Kanalog.

Re: Hybrid Stepper Motor
I see - quite cool.
On my mill I am using 3 axis for servos so it sounds like I could disconnect jp2 and use a hybrid stepper to drive a rotary axis. I might have to try that out!
