Snapamp - Motor not running when pwm out [RESOLVED]

Post by rdpdo2002 » Sat Mar 23, 2019 6:42 pm

Hello,

I making test with kflop + snapamp. I have connect a DC motor in OUT0/OUT1, supply 2x60V at VS1/VS2 with GND1/2.

Under the kmotion software, I can see the suply voltage 1&2 (56V).

I have configured an axis as explain in the tuto, with input = NONE and OUTPUT = DC MOTOR ; INPUT CHANNEL 1 and OUTPUT channel 4.

I have enable the axis so I can see under the axis windows the data confiuration.

When I send command pwm8=60 for example, under the Analog windows of the sofware, I can see the pwm value change... I have tried pwm8, pwm9, pwm10 and pwm11, all value are changing in the analog windows, but the motor is not running....

I have tried with axis enable / disable... nothing.

Is pwm8 is for OUT0/OUT1 ?

The fan are not running in the snapamp board, is it normal ?

Do I need a ESTOP signal to validate something ?

Thanks for the help !

Reagrds.

Hi rdpdo2002,

Is the SnapAmp Fault LED on? If the Peak Current Limits of SnapAmp have not been set by executing several lines of C Code, SnapAmp will remain disabled in Peak Current fault mode. See here.
Under the kmotion software, I can see the suply voltage 1&2 (56V).
Good
I have configured an axis as explain in the tuto, with input = NONE and OUTPUT = DC MOTOR ; INPUT CHANNEL 1 and OUTPUT channel 4.
Normally you would want Input Mode Encoder and InputChan0 to specify where the encoder is connected.

Output Channel should be 8 for a DC motor connected to OUT0/OUT1
Is pwm8 is for OUT0/OUT1 ?
yes
The fan are not running in the snapamp board, is it normal ?
Yes, the fans activate at 40C

Thanks you very much, it was the peak current protection. I though that by default it was at a few amp...
