Kflop Cannot enable Axis

Post by men8ifr » Mon Nov 06, 2023 9:17 am

I'm just setting up my Kflop - I installed the latest Kmotion software 2 days ago - when I go into the axis selection and click to enable axis 0 I briefly see a tick and then a fraction of a second later it dissappears - it has switched the axis off.

I looked at the help but see no reference to tnot being able to enable an axis.

What could stop me enabling an axis?

I have another laptop with an older version (probably 2+ years old) and that works as expected

Kflop is connected when I try - otherwise you get messages Kflop is not connected (as expected)

I checked all other axis do the same as well.

Everything else appears to work as it should.
My Set-up
PM30 Milling Machine - 3 axis
Kflop
Leadshine copy closed loop 'hybrid' stepper drivers similar to HBS86
Nema 34 6A 8.5Nm motors with encoder (encoder connects to stepper driver)
Fusion 360 Software

To add to this when I start Kmotion I get the error ---------------------------
KMotion
---------------------------
Error Status Record Size mismatch

Disable further status updates?
---------------------------
Yes No
---------------------------

Maybe this is related.

Also from the IO window I cannot select any bits as outputs

Hi,

The Firmware Version Flashed in KFLOP and the KMotion Version must match. Answer Yes to disable status updates, flash New Version, then re start KFLOP and KMotion.exe.

HTH
