Is there a guide for not having compilation errors crop up from comments and whitespace? Right now the Dynomotion we're running is throwing compilation errors and pointing to lines that are just comments or even throwing a compilation error at the beginning of a file before anything else is written.

I'm not aware of any such problem. What Version of KMotion are you using? What errors are you getting? Could you have hidden characters in the file? Please Post a file that creates such errors.
