C Program don't want to open
Hi, I open kMotion on my desktop. I push the "C Program" tab and I have an error: Error opening program file: C:\KMotion435b\C Programs\ From previous thread filenames. What can I do? I don't remember the last filename.
Re: C Program don't want to open
I think we'll need more details.
I'm assuming you want to edit a C program that you are already using in KMotionCNC?
If you are, then open KMotionCNC, open Tool Setup, then find the link for the C Program you'd like to open. I.e. if you want to edit your main initialisation file, go to the User Buttons tab, then find the filename for the relevant button.

Re: C Program don't want to open
i just want to view a c program and probably modify them.
1) I open kmotion
2) I push on the tab "C Program"
3) If it's the first time, an error appair: Error opening program file: C:\KMotion435b\C Programs\ From previous thread filenames
4) Nothing open and I can't view any c program.
5) if I retry to push the tab "C Program", nothing append

Re: C Program don't want to open
Hi, I try to make what you said, but I don't understand very well.
I open kmotionCnc and open tool setup, but I don't know where to search.
I try also to change the opening page in screen editor to custom and retry, same error.

Hi 4minnovations,
The error is because the last filename is blank. You can ignore that error. Does the C Programs Screen open after clicking ok to the error? Its up to you to know what C Programs were created for your system. You might search by date to see which .c files were modified most recently.

Hi Tom,
this is the problem, the c program tab with the seven thread didn't open after ok in the error.

Re: C Program don't want to open
Hi 4minnovations,
Not sure why the C Programs Screen is not displayed. Maybe it is somehow moved out of view of the monitor?
What has been changed? Anything moved, copied, or editied? What is the history of the problem?
You might rename the C:\KMotion435b directory then re-install Version 4.35b to the default directory and check if it opens.
The positions of the Screens are stored in a file C:\KMotion435b\KMotion\Data\persist.txt. You might check that and compare to one of a fresh installation.
Sometimes Windows Regional Settings can cause issues. You might try setting the language and region to US - English. But I switched to French and didn't see a problem.

Hi Tom,
I don't know what has changed.
I worked on a project last month and when I arrived to reopen for a change, it was like that.
I will try what your said, but first I don't find your file C:\KMotion435b\KMotion\Data\persist.txt.

Hi Tom,
I renamed my existing kmotion435b folder and I reinstall. It works now. However, I still can't find your persistent.txt file.
