Tom,
Please review my "Proposed Kanalog - Hitachi VFD Circuit" and let me know what changes I should make.
I have attached a copy of the circuit and some VFD info which may apply.
Unfortunately I am a complete neophyte and will need to be spoon fed!
Many thanks for your help and patience!

They loaded on my end but with a yellow triangle symbol under status title. Do they load only as doc. files. PDF nor BMP files seem to upload.
Thanks
Keith

You should be able to attach both PDFs as well as BMP files. I'm not sure what the yellow triangle means, do you also get an error message?

Tom,
Getting an http error! Super slow loading.
If I drag a BMP file to the message box I get an improper file extension message.
Could I try to post the info on CNCZone but I hate to duplicate a posting.
I will try to post another day on the Dynomotion forum.

Tom,
I apologize for extra work needed to open zip files but its the only way I could send them.

Hi Keith,
I hadn't realized *.bmp files weren't allowed. They should be allowed now. But *.pdf and *png are/were supported so we're not sure why you had an issue.
Anyways regarding Proposed Circuit: The Kanalog Switch Outputs can only switch to GND (sink). In your configuration (Source), the pins need to be pulled to +24V to activate. But if you change the Short Bar to Sinking as shown in section 4-8 it should then work. An other option would be to use Kanalog Opto Outputs that can source or sink current.
The Analog connection seems correct.

Tom,
Thank you for your speedy reply and clear direction.
I will follow your suggestions and get on with testing my VFD/spindle motor.
