convert uv printer to cnc router

Post by QCLO1 » Wed Jul 07, 2021 11:23 pm

I have obtained a Unbranded Chinese UV printer And want to convert it to a cnc router the X and Y Axis are using Dorna EPS-TA series servo drives.
The Z axis is using a stepper drive, it also has a 2 zone vacuum table and a coolant pump I will also be using a VFD Spindle
My Question is if by using a KFLOP controller with a Kanalog expansion board allow me to have the 2-3 analog X',Y,VFD and leave me the 5-6 Axis for the stepper drive and any other uses. Or if not will a KFLOP , Kanalog , KStep combination accomplish what i am trying to achieve

Thank You
John

Hi John,

I assume the Servo Drives accept +/-10 Analog commands and have differential encoder outputs?

If so, KFLOP+Kanalog should work and allow 5 Axes of Step/Direction Drives. See here.
