How to measure temperature using KANALOG ADC inputs

Post by AmitKumar171 » Mon Oct 05, 2020 12:14 pm

Hi tom,

i am using KFLOP+KONNECT+KANALOG for my machine.

I want to measure the electronic bay temperature , can i do that using kanalog ADC, if yes then how do i measure and program the same. ??

Any suggestions ?

Waiting for kind reply.
Thank You

Hi Amit,

You would need a temperature sensor.

To read Kanalog's ADC #0 use ADC(0)

hI TOM ,

thanks for your reply.

I tried connecting a 100k thermister using 5v supply and connected to adc 1 of kanalog.

How do i convert that ADC count to temperature ??/. as i am getting 636 counts on 27.1degree c (temperature is measured using laser thermometer).

How should i proceed with the logic of converting ADC to temperature??????

waiting for your kind reply.
Thank You

Hi Amit,

You could use a similar method you used for KNozz. Here is your previous Thread.

You would need to find the specifications of your sensor and consider the circuit you are using. It needs a circuit or resistor to provide a current source.

Here is a good tutorial.

Also change the temperature and record the ADC readings.
