Hi Tom,
I have a question regarding a machine including:
- 2x power supplies 80VDC - 18amp for the snapamp only
- 1x kflop
- 1x snapamp
- 1x konnect
I use 4 axes, i.e. X, Y, a rotating clamp and a elevator.
There is also another motor wich is managed by the c code and a homemade encoder, wich works start and stop when you are at such a position.
My customer want to control this motor with the same type of control (like an axys) then the others X,Y,clamp and elevator.
The motor is a 2HP at 180VDC.
Is it feasible to add a 5th axis and also do you know a type of drive that would work for this motor.
5th axys with 2hp-180VDC motor

Hello,
AMC makes excellent drives. You might select one that accepts 5V Step/Direction commands. Such as : DPRALTR-025B200
