Re: Dotnet apps not porting to KMotion 5.3.1 libs
Tom, I was assuming that, because the current version of KMotion libs is 'VS2022 compatible', that it installs everything it needs to run all its apps. Since my new machine was a "Windows 11, VS2022, and nothing else (no legacy VS2019 or earlier versions as I had in other locations) it seemed like a...

Re: Dotnet apps not porting to KMotion 5.3.1 libs
Tom, Yes, sorry. All my tests have been between KMotion libs and firmware 4.3.4 and 5.3.1. Yes, KMotion 5.3.1 runs and returns version numbers and other console tests. The dotnetframework 4.8 is installed, as that command line (you suggested) does show 4.8.09032 All anti-virus (defender, malwarebyte...

Re: Dotnet apps not porting to KMotion 5.3.1 libs
This one is becoming quite a bugger to solve.... Per your suggestion, I installed KMotion 5.3 on another machine; this one, a Windows 10 machine that is still able to run KMotion 4.34/My app. The 4.34, and my app using those libs works normally. I recompiled my app using the 5.3 libs, and it works f...

Re: Dotnet apps not porting to KMotion 5.3.1 libs
Tom, Regarding the possible "missing KMotion_dotNet.dll or one of its dependencies". Per your suggestions, I checked, and ftd2xx.dll does exist in my system path (in C:\Windows\System32, and a few other locations) and also in the debug folder of my previous working versions for 4.3. I seem to recall...

Re: KMotion versions vs. Firmware versions
Just to close up this thread, it sounds like this is indeed an issue. Tom is aware of it (See Issue #1 in this forum thread):

Re: KMotion 5.3.1 install on Windows 11 USB Driver issue?
Thanks for the info, Tom. I’m going to run with the memory protection off.

Dotnet apps not porting to KMotion 5.3.1 libs
I've attempted an upgrade of my dotnet application from KMotion 4.34 libraries to 5.3.1, but am experiencing some issues. The current version of my app runs normally with KMotion 4.34 libraries and firmware. Issue #1: The KMotion.exe that is packaged with 5.3.1 cannot update the firmware on my KFlop...

Re: KMotion versions vs. Firmware versions
Understood, which is what I would have thought. I was unable to use a newest 5.3 KMotion to apply it's included firmware to a previous versioned 4.3 firmware KFlop. I was able to use the previous version of 4.3 KMotion to flash the newer 5.3 firmware to the KFlop with the older 4.3 version already o...

KMotion versions vs. Firmware versions
When updating a KFlop, must the version of the KMotion software match the version of firmware currently in the KFlop when updating to newer firmware? Realizing that the firmware coff file is specific in each installation of the KMotion software, for example: If updating a KFlop that currently contai...

Re: KMotion 5.3.1 install on Windows 11 USB Driver issue?
Hello Tom, I attempted to do as you suggested, after booting to allow unsigned drivers. The USB Driver (oem30.inf (dynobus.inf)) installs, but when the KFlop is plugged in, the KFlop driver (KFLOP-Motion Controller 4.XX) pops up there with a yellow exclamation sign on it. Any attempt to update *that...
