Tom,
I might have missed the documentation regarding the functionality of the Kogna Reset pin output.
I assume it remains at logic level low until the Kogna is booted and ready to connect ?
The intention is to drive an ssr which is in series with the drives / enable hardware.
Regards,
Tim

Re: 8 axis KMotion CNC Screen & commercial help
Tom, I will hopefully post video tomorrow of the original machines we manufactured 17 years ago and have run most days. After more thinking and experimentation I think the standard 6 axis screen will work with the 6 linear axis and a C program called by an M code will move the 2 rotary axis. I assum...

8 axis KMotion CNC Screen & commercial help
Tom, We are thinking very seriously about using Kogna for a special purpose machine e we have an order for. I have used KFlop on our 5 axis machines and Kogna for testing gour servo and stepper drives. I have some knowledge of the Dynomotion system but I an supposed to be managing the project and no...

Re: KMotion CNC 5.3.3
Tom,
I have found the error i have made, confusing channels with axes.
Attached is the init file that jogs both directions.

KMotion CNC 5.3.3
Kogna running KMotion CNC 5.3.3 Same init & mot files as runs on 435f no problem. Only running 1 axis as KFlop (which is now at a different location) is used to test drives and motors. G code program runs motor as expected. Problem is only 1 jog button works on initial KMotion launch, other directio...

Tom, Can you please check 4.35d Kmotion CNC kinematics .txt works with a varying pivot to chuck length entry. I have just run the attached program that should keep the tool tip at a constant zero position. If i change the pivot to chuck length entry in the kinematics.txt file attached it does not ma...

Tom, I thought i understood your reply to this question but i obvously do not. With the machine motion control issues i want to check the velocity response of the axes and go back to the beginning. I have attached the configuration for the Y axis. I have attached the step response configured how i t...

Re: 4.35d, Index ip, RTCP advice
Tom, The information below is from memory as I am now at home. The input gain in the init file is scaled so that the resolution is 1 micron. The linear axis feedback is the emulated quadrature output from the Stober direct drive lead screw drives. The rotary angular axis drives are harmonic drive ac...

Re: 4.35d, Index ip, RTCP advice
Tom,
I have only just got to use the machine late this evening.
I was worried about your comment of not using high enough velocities to test the machine.
I have attached motion plots for your comments please.
Tim
