Subject: M1

Hi all,

I'm sure this sounds trivial, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get M1 actually performing as an optional stop - i.e. halting motion, and waiting for the cycle start to be hit again.

I've tried a few things.

Please advise on the best solution for this - I was unable to find anything on the forum that would help.

Thanks.

Have you tried using M0?

Hi Tom,

i've tried executing a file containing an M0 command, but am returned with some error stating that i cannot execute g-code within g-code.

I'd rather not manually change every instance of M1 in the G-code to M0 to make it work.

Can you suggest a way to accomplish this?
